Interview with Max St John
We caught up with Max the Product Manager at Member Evolution to chat about his life and role at Member Evolution. His adventurous nature, humour and competitive side shone through.
-What's your signature dish?
I usually am a simple eater and cooker, but on the odd occasion I dwell into the finer arts of culinary preparation. If I had to impress, I would prepare a chorizo risotto with bruschetta.
-What’s the most interesting holiday you’ve ever had?
I would have to say the most interesting holiday I have been on is a trip I took last year to Madagascar. I visited for just under a month and really got to soak up the culture and scenery. It is an amazing country that is unrivalled in its unique landscape and animals. I would definitely advise any adventure seekers to put this country on their list before it becomes a standard tourist area.
-Who inspires you?
I would have to say that my mother and family in general inspire me. Seeing the difficulties and tribulations that your family goes through, and how they succeed is a great reminder to keep at it no matter what the cost.
-Favourite/ funniest costume you've even worn?
I’m not one for costumes, so back in my Uni days I use to pull the old golfer costume out every year. It was quite simple and included; a golf glove, polo shirt, golf shoes, dress pants, and a putter. This was great go to, for last minute costume parties.
-It's hard to stay fit- how do you manage that while working full time?
Every day in the morning, that's the key. Get to your exercise before you check your email and get swamped with your daily work.
-Advice for getting to where you want to be?
Remember you don't need to know exactly where you want to be, but just a general direction. Once you know and live by that just remember it's as much about the journey as the destination.
-How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Competitive, Determined & Persistent
-What/or who gets you motivated?
Myself and my goals - Keeping in mind what I want to accomplish and how I am going to do it allows me to focus on the task and motivate myself.
-If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?
Living to the MAX
